RRD is seeking an energetic, highly motivated team member to join our team of Press Operators at our Elk Grove Village facility.
The responsibilities include operating Litho Press, In line double web press, Harris M10, and a mini web 6 color web printing press to ensure quality production, leading and directing the press crew, maintaining the press, and other duties as directed by supervisors.
Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain gravure or multi-color offset presses to print various color work with critical color values and registration requirements. Review job specifications, perform make-ready tasks, and ensure quality standards are met. Maintain and repair presses, perform periodic maintenance, and promote a safe work environment.
Responsible for the overall quality of the printed product, monitoring crew progress, documenting operations, and coordinating with other departments. Maintain a Preventive Maintenance Program and handle other responsibilities as required.

Shift Details: 7:00 pm to 7:00 am, 3 days on/4 days off, rotating every 8 weeks. A $3.00 shift premium is offered, along with a $2000 sign-on bonus (distributions based on performance reviews).
Compensation: The pay range is $30.30 to $43.30 per hour, with additional benefits including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, disability insurance, 401(k) with match, life insurance, and more.
Qualifications include:
- Previous experience as a Press Operator 2 or 3 in Direct Mail or similar field
- Knowledge of various techniques, procedures, materials, and safety requirements for press operation
- Experience operating Litho Press, In-line double web press, Harris M10, and mini web 6 color web printing press
- Mechanical skills for setup, adjustments, maintenance, and minor repairs
- Ability to read and understand job specifications and press capabilities
- Skill in using a micrometer for mounting and aligning printing plates
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, mechanical aptitude, and management skills for team coordination
- High School Diploma or GED
- 7-10 years of web press-printing experience
- Knowledge of in-line finishing, die cutting, inserters, imagers, color, and register
- Experience in all positions leading up to this role (preferred)
