Our client is a well established engineering consulting firm located in the Western Suburbs of Chicago. They specialize in building systems design across a wide range of commercial and institutional projects and offer a collaborative environment with long term growth opportunities.
Position OverviewOur client is currently seeking HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical Designers and Engineers to join their team in their Elk Grove Village office. This role supports the design and engineering of building systems for schools, municipal facilities, healthcare, and retail buildings. The position offers the opportunity to take projects from initial design through final construction documentation.
Responsibilities- Design HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical systems for schools, municipal, healthcare, and retail buildings
- Develop complete construction documents in coordination with other designers and engineers
- Take ownership of projects from concept through final stages
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure design accuracy and constructability
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 3 plus years of experience designing building systems for commercial projects
- Strong understanding of construction and building systems
- Proficient with AutoCAD
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Project management experience preferred
- Leadership capability a plus
- PE license helpful but not required
- Revit MEP experience is a plus
