- Contribute by meeting or exceeding customer expectations, improving organizational efficiencies and employee satisfaction.
- Provide design efforts of new and existing products from inception to warranty completion/final payment.
- Manage specific projects/services to deliver commitments with a focus on 100% on-time delivery and on budget to pre-defined milestones, published schedules and cost estimates.
- Coordinate projects with customer and sales through entire project life cycle.
- Prepare preliminary and proposal designs and documents.
- Ensure that customer approval drawings are complete, checked, and submitted to meet the required schedule.
- Participate, refine and complete designs after engineering and general design review meetings.
- Release drawings and required documents to processing to meet schedule requirements.
- Perform liaison function between Engineering and operations for any related issues.
- Work with service and customer to coordinate any field operations required.
- Interact with purchasing and vendors concerning parts they supply or propose to supply.
- Perform liaison function between all departments and customer for any related issues, problems or improvement.
- Manage project EACs (estimate at completion) to ensure financial performance and/or develop plans to address and/or remedy via PINs (project impact notice) or PCNs (project change notice).
- Perform administrative duties including ECNs (Engineering Change Notification).
- Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, to provide recommend actions.
- Define and solve manufacturing/design issues and implement cost reduction ideas.
- Must champion continuous improvement.
- Strong knowledge of Solid Works and AutoCAD.
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills.
- Excellent knowledge of mechanical engineering design.
- Strong ability to communicate well verbally and written.
- Strong ability to meet schedule timelines.
- Ability to work well in a team setting.
- Time Management.
- Bachelors Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Solid Works and AutoCAD experience.
- 2-5 years design engineering or related experience.
Salary range: $65,000 to $85,000 based on experience.
