Job Description As a Finish Carpenter at United Trades of America, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the aesthetics and functionality of our projects during the final stages of construction. Your expertise in finish carpentry will contribute to the overall success and client satisfaction of our diverse range of projects.
Responsibilities
Trim Carpentry: Install, shape, and fit various types of trim, including baseboards, crown molding, and wainscoting, to achieve a polished and aesthetically pleasing look.Cabinet Installation: Skillfully install cabinets, ensuring proper alignment, functionality, and attention to design details.Door and Window Finishing: Hang doors, install door frames, and finish windows with precision, paying careful attention to hardware and weatherproofing.Flooring Installation: Lay and finish flooring materials such as hardwood, laminate, or tile to create a seamless and durable surface.Custom Woodwork: Execute custom woodworking projects, including built-in furniture, shelving, and other decorative elements, according to project specifications.Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough inspections of finished work to ensure it meets the highest quality standards and adheres to project requirements.Collaboration: Work collaboratively with project managers, architects, and other trades to coordinate and complete finishing tasks in a timely manner.Material Management: Efficiently manage and organize materials, tools, and equipment required for finishing tasks.Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Additional vocational or technical training in finish carpentry is preferred.Experience: Proven experience as a Finish Carpenter with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse finishing projects.Skills: Proficient in finish carpentry techniques and methodologies. Familiarity with a variety of woodworking tools and equipment. Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications. Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision.
