**** Registered Nurse - Outpatient Infusion / Cancer Care Center
**** PRN;
Shift Varies
** The Registered Nurse has the responsibility and accountability for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge.
* Planning, assessing, intervening, and evaluating the care of patient with an outcome focused approach from the initial assessment of patient, routine on-going assessment, implemented interventions as indicated, until and through the discharge of the patient, involving the patient, family, provider, and other members of the care team.
* Reviews and documents care provided, outcomes of care, and evaluations of care.
* Follows the professional standards of care.
* Applies evidence, professional standards, and best practice to bedside caregiving through critical thinking, experiential evidence, and evidence-based practices.
* Demonstrates ability to prioritize care based on changing assessment and needs of patients.
* Having ongoing communication with physicians and other departments in the hospital.
** Requirements:
*** Associate of Science in Nursing (ADN) degree from an accredited institution.
* Current unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kentucky required.
* Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.
* ONS and Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification required to be completed before completion of orientation.
* Oncology Certified Nurse required within two years of hire.
* Must obtain Crisis Prevention within 6 months.

*** Recent experience in specialty preferred.
