******** LPN Float - Emergency Department************$5,000 Sign-On Bonus for External Candidates
************ Part-Time 10a - 10p
****** The Licensed Practice Nurse is responsible for age-appropriate patient care under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Their scope of practice is determined by the Kentucky Nurse Practice Act and established Baptist Health Hardin and Nursing Service policies, procedures, and standards of practice.
* Assists in gathering initial assessment data (excluding admission physical assessment).
* Contributes to re-assessments.
* Evaluates patients progress toward established goals, communicating with RN as needed. Includes patients, families and significant other in data collection.
* Performs treatments and administers medications per policies and procedures and within scope of LPN practice.
** Requirements:
*** Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program leading to licensure.
* Current unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Kentucky required.
* Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.
* Must obtain mandatory nonviolent crisis prevention training to be completed prior to end of orientation period and maintained annually.
