As a Communications Assistant, you will play a crucial role in keeping our members informed, engaged, and enthusiastic about club events and announcements. You will help maintain the high standard of communication that our members expect, ensuring information is not only accessible but also enticing and representative of our esteemed club's image.
Duties and Responsibilities- Develop and dispatch regular newsletters and email updates to keep members informed about upcoming events and important club announcements.
- Manage the creation and distribution of digital content including photo updates, event summaries, and promotional videos across the club’s social media platforms.
- Assist in maintaining the club's website with current events, updates, and relevant news to ensure member accessibility and engagement.
- Coordinate with various departments to gather accurate and timely information pertinent to club activities and announcements.
- Monitor social media interactions and respond to queries or comments in a manner that reflects the club’s values of respect and professionalism.
- Participate in the planning and execution of promotional strategies aimed at enhancing member participation in club events.
- Contribute to the creative process of marketing and communication campaigns.
- Maintain a comprehensive calendar of club events and promotions, ensuring that all communications align with scheduled happenings.
- Prepare detailed reports on the effectiveness of communication strategies and suggest measures for improvement based on member feedback and engagement levels.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of all club communications.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a communications or marketing role, preferably in a hospitality or member-focused organization.
- Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to produce engaging and error-free content.
- Experience managing and growing social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, and X.
- Ability to work with various departments and stakeholders to gather information and craft coherent messages.
- Technical proficiency with website management tools and content management systems.
- Familiarity with email marketing tools such as Mail Chimp or Constant Contact.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the capacity to interact professionally with club members and staff at all levels.
