We are a leader in the industry for providing fire protection and security services throughout New Jersey, Delaware and Philadelphia. We are based in South Plainfield, NJ, with an additional office location in Elizabeth, NJ, and has an excellent team that are responsible for delivering exceptional service to our customers for their fire and security system inspections, repairs, and installation. We perform mandated inspections and repairs to fire alarm systems, burglar alarm systems, access control systems, as well as CCTV & video surveillance systems and Locking and Door hardware.
The company is continually growing through its internal sales and marketing activities, strong reputation and business acquisitions.
We are currently seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to identify, develop, and close new business opportunities in the commercial security/low-voltage market. The ideal candidate has experience in B2B sales, a strong understanding of security systems, CCTV and low-voltage infrastructure, and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets. They will also work closely with the operations team assisting the project design and execution to ensure that the projects are successful from Bid to Completion.
Job Duties- Identify and prospect new business opportunities within commercial markets.
- Develop and maintain relationships with business owners, property managers, contractors, and decision-makers.
- Conduct on-site consultations to assess security and low voltage needs, offering customized solutions.
- Sell a range of security and low voltage solutions, including:
- Access Control Systems (card readers, biometric access, key fob systems, cloud-based access control)
- CCTV & Video Surveillance (IP cameras, video management software, remote monitoring solutions, AI-based analytics)
- Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and contracts to potential clients.
- Work closely with the project and technical teams to ensure seamless implementation of solutions.
- Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions in CRM software.
- 5+ years of experience in B2B sales in commercial security, low-voltage, or technology solutions.
- Strong knowledge Security systems, access control, CCTV, and alarm systems.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated and results-driven with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce, Hub Spot, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for client visits.
