The Registered Nurse (RN) prepares patients and assists the physician during cardiac stress testing and cardiac CTA and recovers patients after testing. Candidates need to be able to read a cardiac monitor and be proficient in IV insertion. Previous telemetry or critical care experience is required, as well as BLS and ACLS certifications. Organizes and administers individualized age-specific professional care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital in support of medical care.
Practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Department of Health Regulations, TJC requirements and other regulatory agencies. Participates in patient teaching and discharge planning. Participates in unit Performance Improvement evaluation activities.
- Must be able to get to the hospital within 30 minutes when on-call. On-call duties include one weekday coverage per week as well as one weekend per month.
- Active New Jersey RN License or approved RN license required
- ASN required; BSN preferred
- AHA ACLS prior to start date required
- Minimum one year of experience in Cath Lab, Cardiac Telemetry and/or Emergency Department
- Full Time
- Day Shift, variable between 6:30am - 5pm
- Monday - Friday, every other weekend and holiday rotation as needed by department, on-call
