Production Manager — Cosmetic Manufacturer (Finished Goods)

Location: Saddle Brook, NJ (must live in NJ — no NYC or NY bridge commuters)

Salary: $85,000 – $90,000 annually

Schedule: 1st Shift (start ~7:00–7:30 AM; flexibility to stay late when needed)

Classification: Exempt

Our client is a growing finished goods cosmetic manufacturer producing skincare, makeup, hair care, personal care, and OTC topical products. The company is modernizing operations, strengthening Lean Six Sigma programs, and expanding production capacity.

• 2+ years as a Production Manager overseeing packaging & filling lines
• 5–10 years total manufacturing experience (cosmetics or personal care preferred)
• Experience supervising leads and operators (maintenance/material handlers a plus)
• Lean Six Sigma training required; belt certification highly preferred
• ERP system experience
• Cross-functional collaboration with Quality, Warehouse, and Engineering
• Stable work history (no job hopping)
• Industry background in finished consumer products (cosmetics, skincare, hair care, personal care, or OTC topicals)

• Manage daily filling & packaging production operations across shifts
• Plan production schedules and ensure work order readiness
• Coordinate materials, line setup, and maintenance readiness
• Enforce safety and cGMP standards
• Monitor KPIs and drive performance improvements
• Partner with Quality and Engineering to resolve issues
• Train, coach, and evaluate employees
• Conduct daily operations meetings and adjust priorities
• Maintain staffing levels and documentation accuracy

Hands-on production leader with cosmetics manufacturing experience who thrives in continuous improvement environments and can drive efficiency while leading teams on the production floor.
