Job Description

Position : Out Systems Architect

Location : Washington, DC onsite

Duration : long term contract

We are seeking an experienced Out Systems Architect to lead the design, architecture, and delivery of enterprise-scale applications built on the Out Systems low-code platform. This role will guide technical standards, ensure solution quality, and integrate Out Systems applications with modern cloud and enterprise ecosystems. The architect will also provide strong technical leadership, mentor development teams, and ensure the platform meets performance, security, and compliance needs across a large, highly visible modernization program.

• Architecture & Solution Design:
  Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable Out Systems applications across Reactive Web, Mobile, and ODC environments. Define end-to-end architectural standards for modularity, performance, reusability, and maintainability. Create technical blueprints, solution diagrams, and reference architectures.
• Cloud & Integration:
  Architect and implement integrations with AWS cloud services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS. Ensure alignment with enterprise networking, identity, security, and cost-optimization best practices. Design API-based integrations using REST/SOAP, microservices, and enterprise messaging patterns.
• Security & Compliance:
  Establish secure coding standards, IAM controls, and compliance requirements across Out Systems and cloud environments. Ensure solutions adhere to enterprise grade security and regulatory expectations.
• Dev Ops & Delivery Enablement:
  Lead CI/CD pipeline design and automated deployment practices. Utilize Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Cloud Formation) to support scalable delivery. Drive performance tuning, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
• Technical Leadership & Governance:
  Guide developers and technical teams through architecture reviews and solution design sessions. Oversee code quality, performance, and adherence to architectural principles. Produce detailed documentation and lead knowledge transfer to operations and support teams.

• 8+ years of hands-on experience with Out Systems architecture and development, with proven delivery across Reactive Web and Mobile.
• Strong experience integrating Out Systems applications with AWS services and enterprise systems.
• Deep expertise with REST/SOAP APIs, microservices, and integration patterns.
• Demonstrated experience in Dev Ops, CI/CD, and IaC tools (Terraform, Cloud Formation).
• Strong understanding of security, IAM, and compliance practices in hybrid or cloud-hosted environments.
• Ability to design modular, scalable, and reusable solutions across low-code and hybrid cloud ecosystems.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-team collaboration skills.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities in complex technical environments.

• Experience migrating or modernizing legacy systems onto Out Systems.
• Background in performance engineering for high throughput Out Systems applications running on AWS.
• Familiarity with secure enterprise frameworks and regulated-industry compliance requirements.
• Experience applying AI/automation concepts within modernization initiatives.

• Onsite presence required in Washington, DC.
• Strong communication skills are essential; bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.
