About the Role
Step into a key leadership role where you deliver high-quality nursing care while supporting day-to-day ward operations. You’ll guide practice, build team capability and partner with the Nurse Unit Manager to ensure safe, consistent and efficient care.
Duties
- Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care across the service
- Support the Nurse Unit Manager with daily leadership and priorities
- Guide and develop less experienced staff
- Promote continuity and consistency of care
- Support practice change and quality improvement
- Assist with rostering, staffing and leave planning
- Support recruitment and performance conversations
- Monitor supplies and support budget planning
- Build strong links across multidisciplinary teams and external partners
About You
You’re a confident Registered Nurse ready to step into a leadership role, bringing strong clinical judgement, team focus and a commitment to safe, high-quality care.
- Registered or eligible RN with NMBA and current practising certificate
- Mental health qualification or enrolment in approved program
- Proven clinical competence aligned to professional standards
- Experience guiding staff and working across multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication, problem-solving and workload priority skills
