Job DescriptionProvide engineering support for testing activities, cost estimating, technical presentations, and documentation of engineering reports, while ensuring compliance with specifications and standards at Picatinny, New Jersey. Provide engineering support in the planning, performing, and documenting laboratory, field, and live fire test activities to meet program milestones.
- Perform cost estimating for the manufacture of both in-house and external prototype hardware or systems.
- Examine cost and schedule issues to establish a make or buy decision for best prototype manufacture to customer.
- Act as an expert in the field of manufacturing processes to include machining, welding, forging, and casting.
- Use expertise with industry and other agencies to establish cooperative research and development agreements to facilitate maximum coverage of resources.
Master’s degree in mechanical or general engineering or related field.
Compensation & Benefits- Pay: $150k – $180k
- Schedule:
M‑F, 8‑hrs/days - 401K with up to 4% employer matching contribution
- 4 weeks (160 hrs/year) Paid Time Off (PTO), Federal holidays, and Sick Leave
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
- 15+ years’ experience supporting RDT&E projects in military systems.
- Make complex technical presentations at the national and international level to present results of programs and to establish connectivity to industrial base.
- Responsible for generating, reviewing, editing, and publishing engineering technical reports, as well as compiling information and preparing/delivering briefings as needed.
- Maintain program consistency by updating schedules, meeting minutes, action items, and program files.
- Perform root cause analysis and failure analysis to support engineering tests and malfunction investigations.
- Program Management Certification.
- Experience in providing support to DEVCOM AC Headquarters and its subordinate elements.
