OLH Technical Services, a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC, and a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic III.
Responsibilities- Maintain repairs and modify aircraft structures, structural components, and engines of complex to extreme difficulty.
- Maintain and repair aircraft components including flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems and mechanical components.
- Apply technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and apply technical expertise in restoring equipment condition and operation.
- Provide professional technical expertise to solve complex problems by interpreting technical data such as blueprints or manufacturers' manuals. Work requires comprehensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting/repair procedures, replacement of components, knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modification and repair, and the ability to determine functionality of non-complex electrical systems.
- Utilize aircraft-specific tools and equipment, such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tensiometers, rollers, grinders, drills, pneumatic squeezers, rivet guns, sheet metal brakes and shears, and related aviation drawings and manuals.
- Minimum of 10 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., vocational school).
- Experience providing technical support to structural/mechanical engineers and customers.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload to meet aircraft delivery schedules.
- Experience guiding and providing technical expertise to lower-level technicians during all aircraft modifications and/or maintenance efforts, specifically related to sheet metal repairs and fabrication of sheet metal parts.
- Ability to measure and evaluate structural aircraft damage.
- Knowledge, skills, and abilities sufficient to layout, fabricate, repair and assemble sheet metal.
- Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant license is strongly preferred. Experience working with aviation sheet metal.
