Maintenance Mechanic

Position Summary

A Maintenance Tech will perform machine and building repair, preventive maintenance, and general upkeep so the facility and equipment are in good operational condition. Install new equipment or upgrades to equipment. Keep equipment and facility up to all safety and environmental codes, both state and federal. Schedule outside services and interact with outside contracts.

• Electrical:
  Perform electrical troubleshooting, read’s electrical diagrams and symbols. Able to read and write advanced electrical schematics must be able to read P& , use handheld voltage meter, oscilloscopes, ammeters, etc.
• Mechanical:
  Responsible to install special functional and structural parts in devices. Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instrumentation. Maintains and repairs air compressors, air dryers, gas systems, alarm system, water and vacuum systems, etc. Follows Preventive Maintenance Instructions and ensures that the records for such are properly documented.
• PLC’s:
  Read and interprets PLC programs. Trouble‑shoot problems in PLC hardware and software.
• Fabrication:
  Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts. Conduct periodic inspections to determine required maintenance workflow. Design/Build complex parts as needed for plant using all millwright tools (lathe, index mill, welding, press, bender, etc.)
• Heating/Cooling:
  Advanced air conditioning and heating circuits, trouble shooting and repair chillers and air dryers.
• Projects:
  Must be well rounded maintenance person and must have knowledge and experience in areas of troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic, pneumatics and electrical motion control components.
• Actively participate and support the plant’s safety program. Report any injury or near miss immediately to your Group Lead or EHS Manager. Report all unsafe conditions immediately to a Group Lead, Value Stream Manager or EHS Manager.
• Actively participate in the High Performance Team designated for your area. The HPTs are meant to improve the work experience by allowing the employees an opportunity to offer suggestions for improvement.
• Record accurate and timely data, including order completions and quantity on daily labor reports, reclaim tickets, for reject parts and daily hours worked.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area. Keep all walkways and aisle free of any debris or clutter. Maintain 5S standards by returning tools to shadow boards. Sweep floor and finishing area as needed.
• Daily attendance is a requirement of the job, as is arriving on time. Overtime is expected when customer demand dictates the need.
