Guest Advocate (Cashier or Front of Store Attendant/Cart Attendant) (T0834)  Starting Hourly Rate / Salario por Hora Inicial is $16.75 USD per hour. The Pay Range / Rango salarial is $16.75 USD - $25.15 USD per hour.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
  • Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks.
  • Assist guests by engaging in a welcoming manner to solve their specific needs.
  • Inform guests of current promos, store activities and events.
  • Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store and specific to your area to resolve issues and improve the guest experience.
  • Thank guests and acknowledge that you’re happy they chose to shop at Target.
  • Know and explain the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with application or sign-up as needed.
  • Scan and bag guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with safety standards and company practices.
  • Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy.
  • Explain how to use features in the Target App, including Wallet.
  • Be familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up and online ordering, and guide guests to enroll, activate and use these features.
  • Process returns following register prompts and partner with leaders as needed, following Target’s policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area by managing unpurchased items, baskets and hangers for removal.
  • Stock supplies during store hours while remaining available to the guest.
  • Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety and compliance; work safely at all times and report hazards.
  • Support guest services such as order pickup, drive-up, and returns, while complying with applicable laws (e.g., adult beverage laws) and Target policies.
  • Perform other duties based on business needs.

Basic Requirements / Working Conditions
  • Accurately handle checkout operations and support cash office tasks as needed.
  • Scan, handle and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 44 pounds occasionally without assistance.
  • Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable attendance.
  • Ability to be mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions while performing duties like Drive-Up and carryout.
