Staff Nurse - RN; Registered Nurse

Marklund is a nonprofit organization that provides residential, educational, and therapy services to infants, children, teens and adults with profound developmental disabilities and special healthcare needs. With two residential locations – the Marklund Hyde Center in Geneva and the Marklund Wasmond Center in Elgin – the organization currently serves nearly 178 residents. The Marklund Day School offers Multi‑Needs and Life Skills programs for children and young adults with multiple medical needs, and the Community Day Services program provides therapeutic day programs for adults.

We are seeking dedicated Staff Nurses (RN) to join our diverse team in Elgin and help us deliver life‑changing care. The role offers a variety of full‑time (hours per week vary) and part‑time shifts. Compensation ranges from $30.25 to $36 per hour depending on experience and qualifications, with additional shift differentials. PRN/IHR on‑call nurses receive $33 per hour plus a weekend differential.

• Administer medications, tube feedings and treatments as prescribed.
• Prepare quarterly and annual health assessments.
• Inform the physician of changes in resident health status and implement physician orders to ensure optimal care.
• Complete daily charting for care provided.
• Serve as liaison between residents, parents, physicians, consultants and case managers regarding resident status.

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a current Illinois Health Care Worker Registry license.
• Current BLS CPR certification for healthcare workers.
• Ability to perform essential job functions and meet functional and environmental requirements.
• Exceptional work ethic, positive attitude and strong commitment to providing excellent patient care in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
