Job Title:
Assistant Production Manager - 2nd Shift
Summary Direct and coordinate activities for assigned shift of production employees engaged in processing and assembly of Hub bearings assemblies.
Salary Range: $100,000 to $110,000
The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. At ANBM, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Maintain a safe workplace and improve safety performance.
- Coach and develop subordinates.
- Plan production operations and coordinate manufacturing activities on assigned shift.
- Manage all manufacturing processes to ensure that quality remains at the highest levels and customer requirements are met.
- Identify improvement opportunities and follow up with implementation.
- Communicate effectively with Department Manager and support departments.
- Monitor KPIs and identify countermeasures to improve results.
- Direct and motivate employees to achieve daily objectives and organizational goals.
- Performs problem solving using root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies
- Maintain production and quality outputs to specification by establishing and enforcing the organization's standards. This includes, as needed, place products on hold, remove products from hold, and stop the production line for detection of non-conforming product.
- Understands manufacturing process of HUB bearing
- Understands the operation of automated production line
- Understands quality requirements and inspection method
- Able to apply Continuous improvement concepts such as 5S, Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Kanban, Poke Yoke
- Able to direct and motivate employees to achieve daily objectives and organizational goals.
- Performs problem solving using root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies
- Communicates effectively both verbally and in written form.
- Able to read, write and speak English well enough to successfully pass safety training.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Concentrate on a task over several minutes without being distracted.
- Arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern.
- Physically move objects safely by using proper lifting techniques.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts; hazards common to industrial settings; chemicals, vibration, and loud noises.
- Safety shoes, safety glasses, chemical resistant gloves and bump caps for this position must be worn on the production floor. Other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
- Regularly stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Manually lift and /or move up to 10 pounds repetitively, up to 25 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Must have 20/20 vision, (corrected is acceptable).
- Able to hear in a manufacturing plant environment while wearing hearing protection.
