Industrial Powder Coating​/Prep Painter - 1st Shift

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare manufactured parts for finish painting by performing power washing, grinding, masking, and sanding.
• Organize and transport identified parts into the assigned area; sort, load, and organize parts onto the conveyor system efficiently.
• Blast prepared parts using appropriate tools to prepare the finish for painting.
• Input and scan work order data into the MRP/JDE system using an RF scanner, keyboard, and mouse.
• Meet the predetermined daily/weekly/monthly production schedule and ensure parts are ready for production stations.
• Follow all procedures and processes to apply paint to manufactured parts and produce a defect-free product; complete required in-process inspections, repair or correct defects, and resolve quality issues with other departments as required.
• Follow and comply with all safety and personal protective equipment requirements.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement of products and processes to better serve customers and improve overall profitability.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Be able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs.
• Must be able to pass Fork Lift Certification.
• Ability to use pallet jack and overhead crane is preferred.

Anticipated Starting Wage: $19.50 per hour
