Reporting to the Plant Superintendent, the General Operation Supervisor is responsible for the production and safe work practices of an assigned area of a sawmill or plywood plant. The primary function is to provide leadership, general supervision and direction to shift supervisors and hourly production employees.
QualificationsBasic Qualifications
: A 4 year college degree in a related field is preferred and requires a minimum of 5 years supervisory/management work experience in the manufacturing industry. This position requires analytical and problem-solving skills and a good working knowledge of computers. Must have the ability to generate and understand production models. Effective communication skills are required. Salary will be dependent on experience.
