Technical Operations / Systems Staging Technician (Onsite – Contract)

Elgin, IL

We’re looking for a hands‑on technical professional to join our direct client’s Staging Operations team
, supporting the configuration, testing, and deployment of servers, networking, and telecom equipment used in field deployments.

What you’ll do

• Stage and configure servers, switches, and firewalls
• Set up and configure Windows systems and networking devices
• Debug basic issues related to sales orders and staging workflows
• Collaborate closely with development and operations teams
• Follow build and configuration documentation with strong attention to detail

What we’re looking for

• 1–3 years of experience (or less with a technical degree or certification)
• Solid Windows and basic networking skills (Cisco experience is a plus)
• Exposure to scripting and basic automation debugging is a strong plus
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, factory environment
• Willingness to work 40+ hours
  , including weekends and overtime as needed
• Comfortable lifting equipment (up to 50 lbs
  ) and rotating across roles
• Strong reliability, focus on quality, and safety awareness
• Onsite contract
• Long‑term opportunity with potential for full‑time consideration
• Safety‑sensitive role requiring a full drug panel
