Dundee Township therapist provides individual and family therapy directly to Dundee Township residents, completes mental health assessments, treatment plans, coordinates care, advocates, provides case management, and helps translate skills learned in the therapeutic environment into their natural environments. Additionally, this position serves as a liaison to the Township and attends township board and committee meetings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Clinical- Responsible for providing individual, group, and family counseling to referred Dundee Township residents and their families.
- Must have contact with at least 40 clients per month from Dundee Township. These contacts may vary between maintaining a therapy caseload, providing walk‑in hour support, and providing case management to direct referrals from other Dundee Township organizations.
- Responsible for managing a caseload of 8–10 clients residing from Dundee Township, and providing an array of services including integrated assessment and treatment planning, individual therapy, family therapy, case management, and crisis intervention.
- Respond to emergency/crisis/regular calls from clients.
- Provide case management and care coordination on behalf of clients, residents, and their families.
- Responsible for discussing cases with supervisor in clinical supervision (individual or group) on a weekly basis.
- Responsible for reporting to supervisor regularly about problem cases, need for special services, and resource information, and agency coordination.
- Attend individual supervision and 9 of 12 group clinical supervision team meetings, and be prepared to discuss cases.
- Develop and manage a data collection system to support grant reporting.
- Complete and sign clinical service notes within 7 days of service delivery.
- Timely submission of all clinical documentation in the electronic health record and of administrative paperwork including timesheets, expense reports, training forms, and other agency documents.
- Responsible for completion of and meeting deadlines for all clinical paperwork for cases, including, but not limited to: IATPs, annual update packets, releases of information, and consents for treatment.
- Complete and sign clinical service notes within 7 days of service delivery.
- Responsible for timely completion and submission of deadlines for all agency administrative paperwork, including, but not limited to, timesheets, expense reports, car insurance verification, training request forms, and other agency documents.
- Responsible for attending staff meetings, Quarterly All Staff Meetings, program meetings, and other meetings as assigned by supervisor.
- Responsible for participating in Quarterly Utilization Reviews.
- Responsible for serving on Agency and/or Program Committees when requested by supervisor.
- Promote collegiality at the workplace by working collaboratively with others.
- Responsible for attending at least six Dundee Township Mental Health Board meetings annually to share updates, discuss trends, and identify emerging community needs.
- Responsible for networking with collateral organizations in Dundee Township on behalf of FSA, active clients, and prospective clients. Networking includes referral and linkage, transition/discharge planning with assigned clients, and other related care coordination tasks.

Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis role has no supervisory responsibilities.
Physical and Environmental ConsiderationsThe incumbent will be frequently sitting most of the time in an office environment, infrequently exposed to extreme temperature, noise, fumes, dust, etc. The incumbent should be able to climb steps and stand for extended periods of time while working in the community to meet with a consumer and/or his/her family. Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. on occasion.

- This position is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, with at least 2 evenings (until 8pm) per week, or 1 evening and 1 Saturday. Adjustments to the aforementioned expected hours of work will need to be agreed upon by the supervisor, and a new job description will be signed.
- In accordance with Illinois state law, we are committed to transparency in compensation. The salary range for this position is $47,736 to $68,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
