LSSI is hiring a full‑time Counselor Case Manager
. The role is responsible for assisting clients in achieving their objectives and goals, coordinating services for client care, and collaborating with clients, supervisors, treatment teams, and collateral agencies.

Schedule: Sunday through Thursday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Essential Functions:

• Manage a client caseload of 7 to 10.
• Develop and present up to five didactic groups per week.
• Provide individual and group counseling and case management.
• Provide client education and monitor the milieu.
• Communicate with supervisor, treatment team, and collateral agencies about client needs and services.
• Ensure all paperwork and documentation is complete in a timely manner and in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Utilize the Electronic Health Record (EHR) as an essential tool to complete clinical documentation and other job functions.
• Demonstrate professional, positive behavior and conduct responsibilities with integrity, treating clients, families, LSSI staff, and collaborative organizations with dignity, respect, honesty, and fairness.

Position

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, or related field preferred.
• CADC, LSW, LPC, LCSW, or LCPC preferred.
• 1 to 3 years’ experience in the substance abuse field preferred.
• Trained and proficient in the use of an electronic health record required.
• Experience in crisis intervention and de‑escalation preferred.
• Familiarity with accreditation and licensure standards preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational, presentation, and computer skills; experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and related software.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing for the state of residency required.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Valid IL statutory minimum liability insurance coverage (bodily injury and property damage) required.
