Counselor Case Manager, Next Steps Day Treatment

LSSI is hiring a full‑time Counselor Case Manager
. The role is responsible for assisting clients in achieving their objectives and goals, coordinating services for client care, and collaborating with clients, supervisors, treatment teams, and collateral agencies.
Schedule: Sunday through Thursday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Essential Functions:
- Manage a client caseload of 7 to 10.
- Develop and present up to five didactic groups per week.
- Provide individual and group counseling and case management.
- Provide client education and monitor the milieu.
- Communicate with supervisor, treatment team, and collateral agencies about client needs and services.
- Ensure all paperwork and documentation is complete in a timely manner and in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Utilize the Electronic Health Record (EHR) as an essential tool to complete clinical documentation and other job functions.
- Demonstrate professional, positive behavior and conduct responsibilities with integrity, treating clients, families, LSSI staff, and collaborative organizations with dignity, respect, honesty, and fairness.
Position
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, or related field preferred.
- CADC, LSW, LPC, LCSW, or LCPC preferred.
- 1 to 3 years’ experience in the substance abuse field preferred.
- Trained and proficient in the use of an electronic health record required.
- Experience in crisis intervention and de‑escalation preferred.
- Familiarity with accreditation and licensure standards preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, presentation, and computer skills; experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and related software.
- Valid driver’s license in good standing for the state of residency required.
- Reliable transportation required.
- Valid IL statutory minimum liability insurance coverage (bodily injury and property damage) required.
