We are seeking a detail‑oriented Quality Engineer to support high‑volume manufacturing. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with industry standards and delivering high‑quality products to our customers.
Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and maintain quality systems in compliance with requirements.
- Prepare and maintain documentation for quality processes and ensure compliance with control plans, work instructions, inspection procedures, P‑FMEA, and other quality standards.
- Perform process audits, layered process audits (LPA), and product inspections.
- Lead and support PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) submissions for new and existing products.
- Apply GD&T principles to ensure accurate interpretation of engineering drawings.
- Perform SPC (Statistical Process Control) analysis to monitor and improve manufacturing processes.
- Manage and maintain gauge calibration programs to ensure measurement accuracy.
- Conduct internal audits and support external audits for ISO 9001 compliance.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
- Analyze customer complaints and implement corrective actions using root cause analysis tools.
- Analyze quality data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial) with five‑year related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent knowledge of the Windows OS environment.
- Excellent knowledge of the MS Office product family.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, PPAP, GD&T, SPC, and gauge calibration systems.
- Proficiency in quality tools such as FMEA, control plans, and 8D problem‑solving.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Competitive base salary: $70,000 - $90,000 (commensurate with experience, subject to change).
- Eligibility for a 5% discretionary annual bonus.
- 21 days PTO (paid time off) to start – can grow to 36 days max.
