School Social Worker

Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Social Worker to support students’ social-emotional and behavioral needs within a collaborative school environment. This role focuses heavily on special education services
, intervention, and student advocacy while partnering closely with families, educators, and community resources.

• Provide direct social-emotional support to students, prioritizing services mandated by IEPs
• Support students with social-emotional and behavioral needs through the MTSS framework
• Participate in Service Team meetings
  , representing the social-emotional perspective
• Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs)
• Prepare Social Developmental Studies during case study and re-evaluation processes
• Provide crisis intervention and short-term supports for students in need
• Collect and maintain data and records to monitor student social-emotional progress
• Address parent concerns and connect families with community-based resources
• Advocate for students with school staff and administration
• Mobilize school and community resources to support student success
• Consult with teachers and staff on classroom-based interventions
• Maintain regular contact with community agencies and service providers
• Provide professional development, staff training, and community education as appropriate
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Master’s Degree in Social Work (Required)
• Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Work endorsement (Required)
