MKD Electric is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator, u nder the direction of the Purchasing Manager, the Purchasing Coordinator will be responsible for expediting orders, invoice corrections, assistance with returns, shipping and receiving along with inventory and vendor relations. The ideal candidate must have the ability to work with and handle electrical materials and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, working on multiple projects a day.

• Enter Vendor Confirmations/Acknowledgements
• Provide Backorder Status as Requested by Team Member(s)
• Expedite Existing Order(s)
• via Order Status Report, Follow Up on Backorders 3-Weeks in the Rear
• Check In at Regular Intervals w/Long Duration Projects regarding Returns and Backorders
• Research Original Order Info P.O./Invoice/Price
• Enter Return Request Details in Spectrum
• Request Return with Vendor
• Give Return to Vendor Driver when Picking Up (Shop Only)
• Request End of Project "Bulk" Material Return from Job Site
• Pack Material(s)
• Generate UPS/Fed Ex Shipping Label
• Arrange for Freight Carrier Shipment
• Arrange for Messenger Shipment
• Load Trucks
• Unload Trucks
• Sign for Material
• Receive Against Packing Slip
• Receive in Spectrum (When Required)
• Communicate w/Vendor if Discrepancy
• Communicate w/PM or Department if Discrepancy
• Communicate w/PM or Department when Material has Arrived
• Spool Wire
• Pre-Count in Preparation for Year-End Inventory
• Count Year-End Inventory
• Act as Liaison Escorting Auditors for Spot Check Counts
• Meet w/Vendors - New and Existing
• Seek Out New Vendor
