Job Description
To provide a safe and high quality service throughout the facility whilst maintaining good operational procedures and relationships between the service and members of the public.
RequirementsThis post is considered to be a 'Regulated Role' under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020. Under the Act, it is a legal requirement for an individual undertaking a regulated role with children or protected adults to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme. The successful candidate will therefore be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to any formal offer of employment being made by Moray Council.
Responsibilities- Building security.
- Preparing rooms/areas for use by groups.
- Setting up and dismantling equipment as required.
- Carrying out routine planned maintenance on equipment.
- Monitoring, reporting on and carrying out cleaning/maintenance duties.
- Ensuring that Health and Safety standards are complied with.
- Undertaking general duties.
- Experience in carrying out basic care and maintenance duties of property
- Working with people
- Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Numerate
- First Aid Certificate*
- Aptitude for tidiness
- Attention to detail
- Prioritises tasks / action
- Ability to follow routines / instructions
- Capable of working unsupervised
- Able to carry out handyman / basic maintenance duties
- Smart appearance
- Pleasant manner
- Good customer care / people skills
- Patience
- Diplomacy

- Ability to lift furniture & equipment
