NHS Grampian is expanding the Obstetric & Gynaecology Department at Dr Gray’s Hospital (DGH). DGH is NHS Grampian’s district general hospital serving Moray. It provides a comprehensive Gynaecology and Maternity service, including midwifery-led intrapartum care.

The Scottish Government has committed £6.6 million funding for a multi-professional team to deliver a new model of Consultant-led Obstetric services by the end of 2026. This is endorsed by the NHS Grampian Board and supported by NHS Highland in developing networked pathways of care.

• Join an expanding Obstetrics & Gynaecology team during a service redesign phase.
• Contribute to service development and academic activity with opportunities for sub-specialty interests within NHS Grampian and North of Scotland networks.
• Participate in development activities at departmental, regional, and national levels.
• Engage in individualised job planning tailored to service needs and applicant requirements, including flexible, part-time, or annualised work patterns.

• Full registration with a licence to practise from the GMC (licence to practise must be in place prior to starting).
• Interest in service and academic development within obstetrics and gynaecology.
• Willingness to contribute in a small, friendly department with opportunities for involvement at departmental, regional, and national levels.
• Applications welcomed from experienced overseas candidates who have not previously worked in the NHS.
