Dal‑Tile is currently seeking an Expert Material Handler to join our TEAM! As a veteran Material Handler, we need someone that is ready to operate all equipment utilized in the distribution center such as the Reach Truck, Cherry Picker, Sit‑Down Forklift and Electric Pallet Jack.

Shift: 1st Shift (Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 4:45 PM)

Pay Rate: $24.80

Primary Objective
  • Operates various powered industrial trucks to pick customer orders and conveys orders to packing station or shipping area.
Major Function and Scope
  • Operates various powered industrial trucks to pick customer orders and conveys orders to packing station or shipping area.
  • Operates order picker equipment or stand‑up forklift to assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets.
  • Utilizes warehouse systems such as Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Verifies stock availability and audits orders for accuracy.
  • Conveys picked orders to packing station or shipping area.
  • Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor.
  • Follows standard operating and safety procedures.
  • Keeps area safe, clean and organized.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
Experience and Knowledge Required
  • High School diploma or equivalent experience;
    Certified Sit‑Down Forklift Operator.
  • 3 or more years previous distribution/warehouse experience.
  • Must have a minimum of 6 months previous stand‑up forklift or order picker equipment experience.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Accurate measurement capability.
  • Ability to understand and speak basic English.
  • Ability to work in a safe and conscientious manner.
  • Must be Dal‑Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms.
  • The associate is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The associate may be required to sometimes sit, climb or balance.
  • The associate may lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
  • The average number of picks per hour is 25 and the average weight is between 40-70 lbs with heavier picks (50-70 lbs) being 65% of the work shift and lighter weight items (20-40 lbs) being 35% of the work shift.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this position includes close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
  • The associate is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
  • The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures.
  • The noise level is usually loud.
