Job Title: Bus/Truck Driver

Location: Los Angeles Air Force Base, El Segundo, California

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Starting Rate: $40.18 + $6.55 H&W

Provide transportation movement operations which includes pick-up and delivery of supplies/furniture and equipment between LA AFB, Ft. Mac Arthur and local tenant units. Operate shuttle vans between off base office locations and LAAFB.

Responsibilities

• Complete turn in and issue documentation as required.
• Perform the loading and unloading of trucks utilizing various material handling equipment.
• Ensure loads are distributed and secured in accordance with all regulatory guidance.
• Load and transport salvage items to DRMO operations at Camp Pendleton in accordance with all regulatory guidance.
• Support Ground Transportation as needed.
• Complete documentation required to salvage items.
• Initiate and complete necessary paperwork inherent to dispatch procedures such as AF Form 868 and AF Form 1800.
• Perform operator maintenance and familiarize self with vehicles to be operated.
• Operate shuttle vans and chauffeur Distinguished Visitors, upper echelon military and civilian personnel.
• Perform any other duties by Management as needed.

• High school diploma
• Maintain an outstanding Department of Motor Vehicles driving record. A class B driver’s license with passenger endorsement is desirable.
• At least 2 years working in a transportation function.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must have and maintain a SECRET security clearance.

• Good oral communication skills
• Operate vehicle in a variety of traffic and weather conditions.
• Meet or exceed minimum productivity levels established by the Company.
• Meet or exceed established cases per error goals.
• Demonstrate strong customer relations and problem resolution skills.
• Effectively plan and organize work activities independent of direct supervision.
• Develop a good working knowledge of product and inventory control techniques and procedures.
• Maintain ongoing inter-department communications related to routing, safety, and customer relations.
