The RoleWe’re looking for a backend‑leaning Software Engineer with full‑stack responsibilities and an active Top Secret (TS) clearance. This is a hands‑on role for an individual contributor who thrives in a fast‑paced startup environment, takes ownership, and drives clarity without constant direction. You’ll play a key role in building the systems that power our mission, collaborating closely with our science team to bring cutting‑edge models into production.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Build and expand core product and platform capabilities.
- Deploy and fine‑tune reinforcement learning models in classified environments, integrating sensitive sensor data.
- Translate advanced mathematical models into robust, production‑grade systems.
- Own backend infrastructure and data integration pipelines, ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver mission‑ready software solutions.
- Active Top Secret (TS) clearance.
- Strong backend development skills (Python, Java, Go, or Type Script).
- Full‑stack experience and comfort working across the stack.
- Ability to work in‑person in El Segundo, CA, five days a week.
- Adaptability to a high‑intensity startup environment.
- Experience with reinforcement learning models or AI in operational contexts.
- Familiarity with defense or national security applications.
- Experience integrating diverse data sources in real‑time systems.
- Location: El Segundo, CA (On‑site, 5 days/week)
- Travel: Up to 25% for customer integrations (yes, sometimes in Hawaii)
- Salary: $180K – $200K
