Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level Industrial Security Specialist to join the Enterprise Personnel Security Services team in El Segundo, CA
.

This position will be responsible for overseeing the National Systems Programs (NSP) Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Personnel Security processing.

This individual will work with both senior and junior staff members to administer and implement U.S. Industrial Security Standards as outlined in the National Industrial Security Program Manual (NISPOM), the Department of Defense (DoD) Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Administrative Security Manual, Special Access Program (SAP) Security rules and other authoritative sources of security regulations. You will ensure programmatic security posture is compliant with all applicable regulations.

The dynamic position requires the selected candidate to be a self-starter, possess proficiency in desktop computing and MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and have excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Conduct assigned Internal Security Controls through performance of compliance assessment reviews and self-inspections to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements.
• Identify deficiencies and recommend corrective action.
• Assist less experienced personnel with Internal Security Controls.
• Conduct Administrative Inquiries on personnel, processes and situations in accordance with established operating procedures to determine level and scope of non-compliance.
• Assist less experienced personnel with Administrative Inquiries.
• Conduct Communication Security (COMSEC) duties and responsibilities in compliance with government regulations/requirements.
• Assist COMSEC custodians and less experienced personnel in COMSEC responsibilities.
• Protect government, intellectual, third party and company information from unauthorized disclosures through development, implementation and administration of an Operational Security program, security education, procedures and physical controls to ensure compliance on less complex programs.
• Lead and perform Personnel Security team and/or processes (works with databases, reviews files, conducts interviews, submittals to customers and schedules briefings) to assist in obtaining individual security clearances/accesses for standard customer requirements.
• Conduct security awareness training and education program (e.g., briefings, bulletins and visual reminders) to educate, refresh, and motivate personnel to protect people, property and information.
• Perform Physical Security duties and responsibilities within Boeing facilities (e.g., complete fixed/closed facility checklists/survey areas, review and approve facility drawings for new or remodeled classified areas) to ensure compliance with company and government regulations/requirements.
• Perform Sub-Contractor Management (e.g., providing contractual requirements and direction, site assistance visits and reviews) to ensure compliance with government regulations/requirements.
• Participate, as requested, on enterprise Integrated Product Team (IPT) sub or task teams.

• Successfully completed Tier 5 Investigation (T5) within the last 5 years, or enrolled in a Continuous Vetting program within the last 5 years.
• 3+ years of experience in Industrial Security.
• 3+ years of experience working in a cross-functional environment with all levels in the business from individual contributors to executive leadership.
• 3+ years of experience working in one or a combination of the following domains: NISP, SAP and/or SCI.

• Experience working within the intelligence community.
• Experience reporting requirements within DoD, SAP, and SCI.
