Summary

The FOH Café Team Member is an individual who is passionate about creating a memorable food and beverage experience for our guests. This position makes recommendations based on their own in-depth knowledge of the menu offerings, customer preferences, and up‑selling special items where possible. Successful FOH Café Team Members will have passion for wellness, meaningful guest engagement, and amazing healthy food.

They will love working multiple roles and thrive in a fast paced, multitasking environment. They will have a commitment to food and beverage execution, presentation, the role ingredients play, and a love for creating vibrancy. This Team Member position should demonstrate an interest in contributing to the community vibe in the heart of our collective multidepartment wellness facility.

Essential Functions
  • Understand allergens and proper practices.
  • Greet guests with a welcoming smile as they enter our community facility.
  • Take orders while paying attention to details & modifications.
  • Understand our juice, smoothie, and coffee program highlights.
  • Prepare café food and beverage options accurately following L.L recipes.
  • Accommodate every guest request within reason and to the best of your ability. Provide an alternate recommendation if the request is unable to be met.
  • Accurately serve beverages as well as any food that has been ordered.
  • Properly prepare and expedite take‑away orders.
  • Ensure that FIFO is practiced and proper labeling following all standards set forth by L.L and local health department.
  • Receive and process cash and credit card payments.
  • At the end of your shift, always "Close to Open" by ensuring that everything on your closing checklist is completed and your station is stocked, prepared, and spotlessly clean for the next shift.
  • Ensure that all venue equipment is always clean and operates properly, report any maintenance needs to the manager on duty.
  • Open or close the cafe.
  • Inspect dining areas, food receiving, preparation and production areas, and storage space to ensure that health and safety regulations are always adhered to.
  • Notify management of any comments, suggestions, or complaints from any guest.
  • Checkout with the manager on duty.
  • Any other duties as assigned by Team Leader or Shift Lead.

  • Must be able to communicate English clearly and effectively.

  • Available for flexible scheduling to meet the needs of the restaurant.
  • Openness to being cross trained in multiple restaurant positions.
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs.
Experience/Education Required
  • 1+ Years experience in related restaurant guest facing capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of variety of healthy lifestyle and culinary offerings.
  • Hold a current ABC alcohol server certification.
  • Hold a current food handlers’ certification.
