- Demonstrate strong proficiency in soldering, including both through‑hole and surface‑mount techniques, in compliance with industry standards (J‑STD‑001 & IPC‑A‑610).
- Ensure adherence to applicable certifications and maintain a solid understanding of their standards and guidelines.
- Perform PCBA rework, component replacement, and circuit board troubleshooting—identifying and correcting solder defects, damaged traces, and related issues per rework procedures.
- Conduct assembly, tear‑downs, inspections, and testing of mechanical and electromechanical components and LRUs.
- Interpret and follow manufacturing blueprints, wire diagrams, planning documents, and test specifications.
- Use hand tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches, multimeters) to support testing and assembly of PMA parts.
- Report and document any nonconforming materials, hardware, software, tools, parts, or assemblies in accordance with internal procedures.
- Support other manufacturing functions related to aircraft parts as needed.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Experience working in a startup environment
- 6+ years of experience in an aviation production setting
- Familiarity with the Material Review Board (MRB) process
- 4+ years of experience in an aviation production environment
- Certification in J‑STD‑001, IPC‑A‑610, or equivalent (active or expired)
- Ability to read assembly instructions, blueprints, and technical specifications
- Basic computer proficiency (Windows, macOS, Excel, Gmail)
- Flexibility to work overtime as required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
