A toy and entertainment company is looking for a CAD Drafter with Vectorworks experience and Adobe Suite knowledge to assist their team with 2D/3D shop drawings, patterns, and templates for trade show and/or set design!
Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM + overtime (weekend work will be required)
Duration: ~3 months (potential to extend)
Pay: $30 - $35/hr
Responsibilities- Generate detailed 2D and 3D shop drawings, patterns, and templates for various projects, including trade show booths, toy displays, television commercials, and photo shoots.
- Utilize Vectorworks to translate design concepts into accurate and comprehensive visual representations.
- Develop preliminary drawings based on conceptual ideas and convert sketches into high-quality renderings for review and approval.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure that the proposed designs meet project requirements and specifications.
- Translate written and verbal information into precise CAD details and assembly drawings.
- Ensure that CAD drawings align with project specifications, materials, and manufacturing processes to support fabrication efforts in wood, metal, and model shops.
- Collaborate with the fabrication teams to address any design modifications or adjustments required during the manufacturing process.
- Thrive in a fast-paced work environment by efficiently managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines, ensuring the timely delivery of accurate and high-quality CAD drawings to support the production workflow.
- Proficiency in Vectorworks is REQUIRED.
