Overview
A well-established labor and employment law firm is seeking a detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support its attorneys in litigation matters. Employment law experience is not required
; however, strong civil litigation support skills are essential.
- Handle court filings and electronic service in state and federal courts
- Maintain accurate calendaring of deadlines, hearings, and trial dates
- Track response deadlines and ensure compliance with CCP requirements
- Prepare discovery shells and assist with discovery-related tasks
- Draft and format tables of authorities and tables of contents
- Coordinate overnight service and manage proof of service documentation
- Provide general litigation support to attorneys as needed
- Prior experience as a Legal Assistant or Litigation Assistant
- Strong understanding of California Code of Civil Procedure (CCP) deadlines
- Experience with court filing, calendaring, and deadline tracking
- Familiarity with discovery preparation and litigation document formatting
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Employment or labor law experience is a plus but not required.
