Technical Program​/Project Manager - Robotics & Autonomy

Samson Rose has been exclusively engaged by a pioneering Robotics & AI company to find a Technical Program Manager who will lead large-scale, customer-facing robotics and autonomy programs from early planning through deployment and operational handoff.

This is a highly technical, execution-focused role where you will act as the primary delivery owner for real-world autonomy systems. You will work cross-functionally across autonomy software, systems engineering, hardware, operations, and customer teams to ensure complex robotic solutions are delivered successfully in challenging field environments.

They are developing field-proven, hardware-agnostic embodied AI that enables robots to operate autonomously in complex, unstructured, and GPS-denied environments.

With significant funding in place, means and resources are available to support large-scale deployments and long-term customer programs.

Their technology is actively deployed across industries such as construction, security, mining, and manufacturing.

The team brings together deep expertise from leading organizations including Deep Mind, NASA JPL, Boston Dynamics, NVIDIA, Amazon, Tesla Autopilot, Cruise, Zoox, Toyota Research Institute, and Space

X, with a strong track record of DARPA challenge wins and real-world deployments.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 4+ years of experience leading complex technical programs in a fast-paced technology environment.
• Strong technical background in software, systems, or hardware engineering.
• Hands-on understanding of autonomy or self-driving software systems is required.
• Experience delivering projects involving robotics, embedded systems, or real-time platforms.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive execution without direct authority.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycles and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple customer programs simultaneously.

• Program Ownership & Execution
• Lead large-scale, customer-focused robotics and autonomy programs from planning through deployment and operational handoff.
• Technical Project Leadership
• Act as the technical project lead for customer engagements, coordinating execution across autonomy software, systems, hardware, data, and operations.
• Customer Delivery & Field Operations
• Translate customer requirements into technical plans and milestones, oversee operational readiness, support on-site deployments, and proactively manage risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs. Travel up to 30 percent as needed.
