About the Role

The Master Data Manager leads the master data domain strategy, governance model, and operating rhythm to ensure high‑quality, trusted data across Liquid I.V. The role combines people leadership with domain ownership, overseeing a team of master data professionals while partnering with business and technology leaders.

Functions and Duties

Core accountability includes ownership of the master data operating model, governance, and roadmap for Liquid I.V. Below are key focus areas:

  • Master Data Management – Set enterprise‑level strategy, standards, hierarchies, and prioritization to ensure scalable and consistent master data.
  • Data Quality – Define quality targets and KPIs, establish escalation models, and sponsor remediation investments.
  • Data Governance – Establish governance model, decision rights, and forums—creating controls without bureaucracy.
  • Stakeholder Engagement – Influence executive stakeholders and align master data strategy with business priorities.
  • Analysis & Reporting – Use insights to inform the roadmap, build investment cases, and drive transformation initiatives.
  • Process Optimization – Enable end‑to‑end master data process architecture and continuous improvement across the organization.
  • Tools & Platforms – Evaluate and recommend tools and architectural direction for Liquid I.V.–owned platforms.
  • People & Resource Leadership – Directly manage Data Analysts, building team capability, capacity, and long‑term talent development.
  • Change & Enablement – Sponsor adoption, change management, and the maturity of master data capabilities across the enterprise.
Qualifications
  • Education – Bachelor’s degree in a data, technology, or business‑related field required; MBA or advanced certifications preferred.
  • Experience – 8+ years of experience including people leadership, governance ownership, and master data or data strategy accountability.
  • Industry Context – Experience in enterprise‑scale, ERP‑centric environments; CPG experience preferred.
  • Governance Exposure – Proven experience defining and operating a master data governance model, including decision rights and accountability within a hybrid or federated model.
  • Technical Skills – Architecture understanding of master data platforms and integrations; experience with Microsoft Dynamics and Syndigo preferred.
  • Data Management – Ownership of enterprise data strategy and full master data lifecycle management.
  • Analytical Thinking – Use analytics and insights to guide strategic decisions and prioritize investments.
  • Business Acumen – Align master data capabilities to measurable financial, operational, and growth outcomes.
  • Communication – Executive‑level communication skills to drive alignment, clarity, and decision‑making.
  • Leadership – Formal people leadership and performance management; influence partners through collaboration.
  • Change Management – Lead transformation initiatives and cultural shifts required to mature master data capabilities.
