Senior Network Engineer – Millennium Space Systems – El Segundo

Requirements Must have

• – Bachelors degree in a technical discipline such as engineering or computer science, or equivalent professional experience
• – Minimum of four (4) years of experience in IT network engineering
• – Strong knowledge of network infrastructure and hardware
• – Proficient problem solving and visualization skills
• – Ability to implement, manage, and troubleshoot network devices, including wireless access points, firewalls, routers, switches, and controllers
• – Familiarity with application transport and network infrastructure protocols
• – Capable of creating precise network diagrams and documentation for communication system design
• – Quick learner of new technologies and products, utilizing documentation and online resources
• – Ability to collaborate effectively with all staff levels both within IT and across the organization
• – Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• – Active U.S. Security Clearance required (U.S. Citizenship mandated)

• Maintain and manage computer networks and related computing environments, including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations – Safeguard data, software, and hardware by planning and implementing network security measures – Diagnose and remedy hardware, software, and other network/system issues – Replace defective network hardware components as necessary – Oversee, configure, and monitor virus protection software and email applications – Monitor network performance and determine necessary adjustments – Collaborate with end-users to troubleshoot existing system and network challenges – Operate master consoles to track network and computer system performance – Coordinate network access and use – Configure and test networking software, computer hardware, and operating systems – Carry out disaster recovery operations and backups as required
