DepartmentSummary
The System Engineering Analytics Department seeks a motivated, creative Data Scientist to apply cutting‑edge tools and techniques to challenging problems facing the U.S. government. This position combines Systems Engineering with Data Analytics to build end‑to‑end analytic pipelines and provide strategic insights that have lasting impact.
Roles & Responsibilities- Apply data analytics to real‑world problems.
- Develop research questions and test hypotheses with open‑ended tasking.
- Work with a spectrum of government sponsors to understand their challenges, evaluate solutions, and conduct actionable analysis.
- Support development and application of analytical models, adapting and learning as needed.
- Present results in an intuitive, actionable manner understandable by all sponsor audiences, regardless of technical expertise.
- Typically requires less than 1 year of related experience with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and work experience.
- U.S. citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance.
- Demonstrated ability to manipulate large datasets.
- Experience with analytic tools such as Python, SAS, MATLAB, JavaScript, R, Java.
- Data visualization tools such as Tableau, Quick Sight, Power
BI, etc. - Ability to formulate complex algorithms and processes to solve data problems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Minimum of 50% hybrid on‑site.
- Active U.S. Government clearance.
- Experience with databases (Oracle, Postgre
SQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Mongo
DB). - Software development experience in a shared environment using tools such as GIT.
- Full‑stack development experience (HTML, JS, NodeJS, SQL, Python, etc.).
- None required on initial application.
- Candidate must obtain, within one year of hire, a Secret clearance.
$80,000 – $120,000 annual.
Work LocationHybrid.
