Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Human Resources Manager 2 to become part of our Engineering HR leadership team supporting a portion of the Engineering Air Dominance Division in a functional facing leadership role. The position will be full-time, on-site and located at either our El Segundo, CA or Palmdale, CA location.

This key manager role reports to the Aeronautics Systems (AS) HR Director 1 for Engineering for the Air Dominance Division. The selected candidate will be the primary strategic HR Manager for the client group in the Engineering Air Dominance Division and will lead a team of HR Business Partners responsible for the development and implementation of HR strategy, leading human capital programs and core processes across the Engineering organization (including, but not limited to, talent assessment and development, performance management, employee relations, total rewards, succession planning and talent pipeline development, organization effectiveness and leadership development).

We are seeking a strategic and forward-thinking Human Resources Leader to lead an HR team and drive human capital and technical development strategies across our complex, matrixed organization. Acting as a trusted partner to senior engineering leadership, the ideal candidate will possess the proven ability to coach at the executive level, influence change, and build collaborative partnerships that drive organizational performance in the rapidly evolving organization.

Key Responsibilities Include
  • Strategic Partnership: Serve as the primary HR strategic HR Manager and consultant to Engineering leadership, aligning people strategy with business objectives and positioning the organization to meet long term vision and strategy.
  • Organizational Transformation: Drive change management initiatives, fostering a culture of high performance, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Talent Strategy & Development: Develop and execute comprehensive talent strategies that align to business objectives.

    Coaching:

    Provide executive coaching and influence decision-making across all levels of the organization to support business transformation.
  • Strategic Initiatives: Lead complex, cross-functional HR projects and initiatives (e.g., workforce planning, compensation, diversity & inclusion) from inception to completion.
  • People Leadership: Provide day-to-day people leadership of a geographically diverse HR team and create an environment that accelerates development of HR talent; apply rigorous knowledge management to capture learning, drive continuous improvement, and enhance employee engagement.
