- Salary Effective July 1, 2025 - $9,856 to $11,675.01 per month
- Paramedic Incentive - $776.36 per month

Combining scores from all portions of the examination, a candidate must achieve a final raw score of 70 % or higher to be placed on the final eligibility list.

Job DescriptionUnder general supervision, fights fires; mitigates hazardous materials emergencies; performs medical, rescue work, other non‑fire emergency response work; participates in fire prevention inspections, station maintenance, and training activities; performs the duties of a paramedic; performs related duties as required.
Supervision Received and ExercisedReceives supervision from a Fire Captain. Medical compliance is provided by the EMS Battalion Chief.

- Respond to fire calls and participate in extinguishment, ventilation, salvage, rescue, and other operations; operate equipment such as pumps, hoses, ladders, and extinguishers; lay hose lines and direct water streams onto fires.
- Provide emergency medical aid to individuals in need; provide care consistent with standards and permitted procedures established for emergency medical treatment.
- Inspect, clean, service, drive, and operate various firefighting equipment and apparatus; perform routine and preventive maintenance.
- Attend and participate in special drills and other training activities.
- Conduct inspections of public and commercial buildings for fire prevention, hazard identification, and review.
- Participate in special projects, develop or conduct training, and perform assignments while serving on committees; respond as required from off‑duty.
- Respond to and may direct others at medical emergencies; treat and transport patients; administer lifesaving/support techniques; communicate with medical personnel; prepare related reports; inspect and maintain specialized equipment and supplies related to paramedic activity.
- Regularly and predictably attend work.
- Perform related Fire Paramedic duties as assigned.
