Senior Financial Analyst – Contract (5–6 months)

Pay Rate: $55.00 – $65.00 per hour

Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to provide financial and business support across forecasting, analysis, reporting, accounting, and systems, with a primary focus on royalty accounting. This contract role partners closely with Commercial In‑Licensing, Marketing, and cross‑functional stakeholders to drive accurate forecasting, insightful analysis, and sound financial decision‑making, with potential for extension based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead quarterly licensor royalty forecasting in collaboration with Commercial In‑Licensing and Marketing teams
• Prepare and analyze royalty expense reporting, including actuals versus licensor forecasts and variance explanations
• Support royalty accounting activities, including prepaid royalty write‑offs, audit support, and royalty relief assessments
• Deliver ad‑hoc financial, analytical, and strategic support for key business unit initiatives
• Develop clear, well‑documented financial analyses and recommendations for management review

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) required;
  Finance, Accounting, or Economics preferred
• MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
• Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience with an MBA or 5+ years of experience in a related role
• Advanced Excel proficiency required, including financial modeling and forecasting (must‑have)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Proven ability to analyze complex business data and translate findings into actionable insights
• Self‑starter with strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
• Proactive, results‑oriented mindset with high ethical standards
• PowerPoint or other presentation/visualization skills preferred
• Knowledge of and interest in the toy, entertainment, or consumer products industries is a plus
