We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Power Systems Engineer (Level 2 or Level
3) to join the MSS team in El Segundo, CA. As an Electrical Power Systems Engineer you will cover spacecraft production, integration and test on second shift as representative of design engineering team across a range of programs and projects. Your primary task will be dispositioning and root‑causing non‑conformances and issues as they arise, with a secondary focus on design based projects leveraging your experience with integration and test.

You will work closely with technicians, integration and test engineers as well as the design engineering team to foster a deep understanding of spacecraft design and subsystems, sharpening your skills and being a technical expert in your field. Strong communication and organizational skills are critical to success in this position, along with the ability to build strong relationships, collaborate in a cross‑functional environment, and utilize problem‑solving skills to proactively identify and manage risks and opportunities.

• Perform spacecraft Electrical Power Subsystem (EPS) design and analysis at the spacecraft level, including interfaces with other subsystems
• Support battery, solar array, and electronics design
• Perform root cause analysis for non‑conformances in system level functional and environmental testing
• Disposition non‑conformances, design tests and design changes to meet design requirements
• Review and approve production work instructions
• Brief design and analysis materials to program managers, customers, and/or sponsors
• Support system level functional and environmental testing
• Maintain detailed requirements and specifications for various electronic products
• Develop detailed designs of limited scope
• Conduct various methods of testing and analysis to support design
• Gather data for technical performance measures and perform basic analysis
• Provide basic engineering support throughout the lifecycle of the vehicle
• Work under general supervision
• Other responsibilities as required

100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. Shift: 1st Shift – this position requires the ability to work second shift occasionally (3:30 pm – 1:00 am).

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret/SCI Clearance Post‑Start is required.

Occasional travel may be required.
