About Millennium Space SystemsMillennium Space Systems, a part of Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS), is a fast, agile small satellite company focused on national security space. Our missions directly impact global security, including missile warning and Earth observation.
Internship DescriptionThe intern will support the execution and analysis of manufacturing-level acceptance testing by focusing on test procedure development, data analysis, anomaly investigation support, and process improvement initiatives. The intern’s contributions will have a tangible impact on test throughput, data quality, and the efficiency of engineering dispositions that directly gate hardware delivery to the next higher assembly.
Over the course of a 10‑12 week internship you will have the opportunity to:
Responsibilities- Develop and revise test procedures
- Support anomaly investigations
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Improve test efficiency
- Pursuing a BS or MS in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering
- Proficiency with Python or equivalent data‑analysis tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills demonstrated by technical reports or prior internship deliverables
- Prior internship experience (preferred)
- Academic performance with a GPA of 3.0 or above
- Exceptional organizational and collaboration skills demonstrated through leadership roles on teams or student/civic organizations
- Technical experience demonstrated through projects, research, or prior internships
- Strong communication skills and enthusiasm related to engineering, aerospace, and a career with Boeing
- Junior or Senior class standing
- Must be a U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.62 (U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
- Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents eligible for a U.S. Security Clearance; some positions may require U.S. Security Clearance
- 100% onsite at one of the listed location options
- 1st shift
- Drug‑free workplace: post‑offer applicants and employees are subject to drug testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol where applicable
- Safety‑sensitive position: subject to random drug and alcohol testing
- Summary pay range
: $21.15/hr – $35.58/hr - Benefits include health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance, and paid/unpaid time off (benefits vary by location and eligibility)
