Millennium Space Systems, a part of Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS), is a fast, agile small satellite company focused on national security space. Our missions have direct impact to global security, like missile warning and Earth observation.

Our team is curious, bold and innovative. We take risks, innovate and explore new techniques and technologies. We influence change because we challenge the status quo. And when we watch our satellites launch, we know each one of us made it happen.

The Avionics Manufacturing Engineering intern will work side‑by‑side with our Manufacturing Engineers in developing, qualifying, and improving manufacturing systems for the reliable build of spacecraft avionics products. They will gain hands‑on experience with electronics manufacturing processes and to deliver process improvements that cut cycle time and increase first pass yield to support high‑rate space vehicle production. This role offers broad and in-depth exposure to avionics products across many spacecraft subsystems and opportunities to make significant improvements to product design for manufacturability and process efficiency.

Over the course of our 10-12 week internship experience you will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop and improve manufacturing processes
  • Create custom tools and production aids to reduce defects and cycle time
  • Author procedures for the manufacturing of electromechanical assemblies
