Job Description & How to Apply Below
An exciting company has engaged us to find a Robotics Test & Systems Validation Lead to own the day-to-day testing, integration, and verification of their multi-robot systems. This role serves as the internal authority on whether the platform truly performs in the real world. This is a deeply technical, highly practical position for someone equally fluent in hardware and software. Someone who thrives on unit‑testing real robots, isolating faults, reproducing elusive bugs, and turning ambiguous failures into crisp, actionable feedback.
About the Company- Strategic Growth Stage:
They recently raised additional funding and are targeting a Series A in the next few months. They have several key roles to hire for immediately, with plans to significantly expand the team after the next funding round. This is a high‑growth environment with ample opportunities for career development. - Mission‑Driven Innovation:
They specialize in autonomous systems software, deploying machine learning models for operational field roles across air, ground, and maritime platforms. Their technology is designed to be highly intuitive and "sticky," allowing new users to quickly get up to speed and operate complex systems with minimal training. - Impactful Work:
The team is already generating revenue from operational and R&D contracts with defense and government customers. Their projects range from field deployments of autonomous systems to advanced robotics integration, positioning employees at the forefront of innovation in autonomous robotics software. - Career Opportunities:
The company is actively hiring for multiple engineering roles. The team emphasizes shipping production code and real‑world deployment over pure R&D, providing hands‑on experience and tangible impact in the field.
- Has extensive, demonstrable hands‑on experience operating, building, and troubleshooting a wide variety of robotic systems, including multi‑rotors, fixed‑wing UAVs, UGVs, and other complex platforms.
- Has deep expertise in robotic hardware development, including mechanical assembly, soldering, power systems, and safe handling of high‑capacity batteries.
- Has strong systems‑level diagnostic ability, with experience isolating failures across software, firmware, networking, sensors, compute, and electromechanical subsystems.
- Has familiarity with robotics software stacks (e.g., ROS, PX4) and scripting languages (e.g., Python) for diagnostics, testing, and automation.
- Willingness and desire to work on applications in and for the U.S. Department of Defense.
