Test & Evaluation Engineer

Location: El Segundo, CA

Salary: $65.00 USD Hourly – $67.00 USD Hourly

We are seeking a System Test Engineer to join our Engineering team in El Segundo, CA. This role is responsible for performing hardware and software verification tests on space systems and subsystems. Additional duties include configuring test equipment, troubleshooting test anomalies, and conducting data analysis.

Note: This position is 100% onsite in El Segundo, California.

• Supports the development and verification of test methods
• Performs detailed test procedures, instrumentation and configuration definition, needed to perform the test and minimize risk within the constraints of the test plan
• Develops solutions to calibration systems problems of limited scope and impact
• Designs test hardware, software and systems to achieve test requirements
• Analyses, processes, and formats data to customer requirements
• Reviews test data, including off-nominal data, for accuracy, quality and fidelity prior to delivery to customer
• Prepares and publishes test reports to document test results and satisfy requirements
• Presents test results internally
• Archives data and reports
• Works under general direction from test leads

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited program in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
• 3+ years of experience working with specialized test equipment and instrumentation using electrical engineering test methodologies
• 3+ years of experience performing automated tests and troubleshooting electronics equipment, hardware, and software
• Experience with software tools based in C#

  Supporting general team, working in production environment on flight hardware and specialized test equipment
• Size of the Team: 1-5 on a day-to-day basis

• 5+ years of experience working in a lab and/or production environment
• 5+ years of experience with test instrumentation and/or test methods

Bachelor’s degree and typically 5 or more years’ experience
