Company Overview

Rangeview is on a mission to build the foundry system that reindustrializes America. We exist to break the legacy manufacturing trap by reinventing critical production for the twenty‑first century. Through advanced software, deep automation, breakthroughs in materials science, and modern financing strategies, Rangeview rewrites both the cost curve and the power structure of making metal parts.

Job Summary

As a Principal Production Engineer, you will be the driving force behind Rangeview's mission to scale the foundry system of the twenty-first century. You will take end-to-end ownership of defining and implementing company-wide improvement projects; from the selection and commissioning of new foundries to the integration of frontier manufacturing technologies. This is a role for a high‑tenacity engineer who thrives outside of a traditional desk‑based environment, uses first‑principles reasoning to justify capital expenditures and expansion, and implements creative, low‑cost solutions for novel engineering challenges.

Your work will directly define the technical "how" as we break from legacy constraints to reindustrialize America.

This position's internal job code is Principal Production Engineer. We are currently hiring for Level 4IC.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the technical execution of new foundry stand‑ups by defining comprehensive facility requirements (i.e. square footage, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems) while overseeing the sourcing of critical assets and managing on‑site equipment commissioning and qualification
  • Leverage first principles to execute rigorous DoEs that establish technical requirements and inform opportunities to improve reliability, lead time, and cost in a high volume production environment
  • Drive process innovation by identifying and implementing creative technical solutions for novel manufacturing challenges, focusing on creative, low‑cost approaches to high‑volume, high‑reliability production
  • Build consensus across verticals to drive initiatives to completion on budget and on schedule
  • Inform production strategy by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing process information and trends in order to propose solutions for achieving future throughput / cost targets
  • Support technical production operations in order to ensure conforming hardware is delivered on schedule
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (ABET accreditation required)
  • 7+ years of experience in manufacturing, mechanical, electrical, or test engineering in aerospace, automotive, or commercial industries
  • Demonstrated ability to scale production throughput
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills from the operator level to the executive level
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with all levels of an organization
  • Experience aggregating and analyzing technical data to justify and execute large scale projects
  • Proven track record of navigating an expansive technical and operational scope, specifically moving projects from design to physical implementation
Preferred Skills/Experience
  • 9+ years of experience in manufacturing, mechanical, electrical, or test engineering in aerospace, automotive, or commercial industries
  • Experience managing multi-million dollar capital expenditure projects, including facility expansions and the integration of new manufacturing technologies
  • Direct experience in the investment casting or foundry industry, with specific exposure to equipment selection, floorplan development, and process qualification
  • Familiarity with WMS, MES, and ERP systems
  • Experience qualifying, operating, and maintaining industrial equipment
Additional Requirements
  • Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed
