Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in a relevant discipline such as Aerospace, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 5 years of post‑graduate experience in space system design, assembly, testing, or operation
- Relevant experience in mission design and operation, particularly in areas like electronics, propulsion, software architecture, or RF systems
- Proven ability to make engineering decisions that ensure project success, particularly in failure and anomaly resolution
- Familiar with standard engineering practices and industry specifications
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities, especially in reaching consensus among diverse technical viewpoints
- Excellent skills in time management and prioritization
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Capability to work with various engineering tools, applications, and principles, including computerized control systems and testing devices
- Eligibility for obtaining a U.S. Security Clearance, necessitating U.S. Citizenship
- Oversee mission assurance initiatives, encompassing risk management, discrepancy resolution, and design assessment for multiple programs as the Program Mission Assurance Engineer
- Offer specialized knowledge in topics related to satellite, ground, or network systems
- Assess mission designs and collaborate with other engineers to ensure mission design, testing, and operational activities are aligned
- Analyze qualification and acceptance testing plans for verification of requirements and their appropriateness for mission environments
- Utilize existing tools or innovate new ones to solve technical challenges through analysis, design, or simulation that can be verified through testing
- Collaborate with integration, testing, and mission operation teams to formulate, generate, and execute anomaly training
- Engage in mission operations and assist in resolving anomalies
- Communicate findings with program and company leadership to facilitate timely development and implementation of solutions to challenges
